Terms of Agreement

Adopt An Infant

Thank you for choosing to be featured on the Adopt An Infant website. This document describes our Agreement with respect to fees and services. By having your adoption profile posted on the Adopt An Infant website, the adopting parent(s) (aka Client) agree with these terms as set forth below. Adopting parent(s) must have a current Adoption Home Study.

I. BENEFITS:

Adopt An Infant will provide the following services for our Clients:

  • Nationwide advertising that provide ads toward women considering adoption.
  • No initial fee or long-term contracts to have your adoption profile posted on the Adopt an Infant website (www.adoptaninfant.com). This site is geared toward pregnant women considering adoption.
  • You will receive guidelines and tools to manage your online profile.
  • Initial calls from expectant mothers are answered by a live experienced person 24 hours a day.
  • You will receive initial information about the expectant mother prior to connecting with her. This will include basic intake information and an estimated budget for the expectant parent(s).

II. LIMITATION OF SERVICES:

Once a mutual commitment to adoption is made by the expectant mothers and the adoptive parents, it is the responsibility of the adoption agency and/or adoption attorney to develop, manage, and further facilitate all aspects of the actual adoption plan, offer or provide counseling, give legal advice, and complete the adoption process. Adopt An Infant is not a licensed child placing adoption agency, attorney, law firm, adoption facilitator, adoption service provider, psychotherapist, investigator, or counselor. We simply provide a website where families will be featured and seen by expectant mothers. Adopt An Infant does not place children for adoption. The expectant mother/parents or licensed adoption agency places children for adoption. It is not the responsibility of Adopt An Infant to advise Client of the laws or procedures of adoption in Client’s state or any other state, nor to engage in the unlicensed practice of law in the field of adoption. Client is advised to rely solely on competent and professional legal advice once they have connected with the expectant mother and they wish to proceed with the adoption. Therefore, please be advised that, once matched, for separate and additional fees Client will need to seek the legal advice and services of a licensed adoption agency and/or a competent adoption attorney in Client’s state, and/or the state where the expectant mother resides, in order to assure that Client will be able to legally adopt a child. Adopt An Infant will provide you referrals.

III. SELECTION PROCESS:

Be advised that Adopt An Infant does not “select” the adoptive family for the expectant mothers, or the expectant mothers for the adoptive family. It is up to the expectant mother of the child to personally select Client as the adoptive parent(s) and for Client to agree to work with the expectant mother. Adopt An Infant does not make decisions for Client or for the expectant mothers.

IV. INTERNET POSTINGS:

In order to maximize the exposure of Client’s profile, Adopt An Infant will post Client’s profile information on the Internet. Adopt An Infant will only use Client’s first names and will not list Client’s street address, personal phone numbers or personal email addresses. Only Adopt An Infant phone number(s) and email information will be used on Client’s profile information.

V. POSTING FEES:

There is no initial fee for the Client to have an adoption profile posted on the Adopt An Infant website.

Once the Client’s adoption profile is ready to be posted on the “Adopt An Infant” website. Client agrees to pay a monthly fee of $50. This fee will be billed automatically for each month that Client’s profile is posted on the “Adopt An Infant” website. Client may terminate this service at any time and the billing will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

Prior to the conference call, you will be provided with the estimated expenses related to this potential match. In order to pursue this situation, you will need to agree to these estimated expenses.

Estimated expenses for each case will be different depending on the state, the mom’s need for assistance and the source of the referral etc.
These expenses typically include the following items:

It is the client’s responsibility to take such steps as Client and Client’s adoption agency or attorney deem necessary to verify or investigate such information through the direction of Client’s adoption agency or attorney, Client may choose to hire a private investigator, if there is suspicion that the expectant parent(s) are not being honest or forthcoming about issues that could affect the adoption. Although Adopt An Infant may offer an opinion regarding prospective expectant parent(s), Client understands they cannot guarantee, promise or warrant the success of any particular adoption, nor can they guarantee the health of the expectant parents or of the adoptive child. Likewise, Adopt An Infant cannot guarantee the ethnic background of the expectant parents nor can they be held liable if an expectant mother fails to disclose all possible expectant fathers. These are matters that need to be addressed by Client’s adoption agency and/or attorney.
